Since then I've been studying for THE BAR and I hate it!!!  Studying for the bar sucks!  I am miserable!  I am afraid that I will not memorize/learn everything. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I continue to study and press forward.  The exam is in exactly one week - next Tuesday and Wednesday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Send me good vibes and wish me luck.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PS: My weight is around 143-146lbs. The trip was much needed, it put things into perspective, and I left feeling refreshed. This is a big post – it covers the following:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;My Family’s Reaction&lt;br /&gt;I Ran a 5K!&lt;br /&gt;Physician Appointment&lt;br /&gt;Shopping&lt;br /&gt;Home Cooking – Yum!&lt;br /&gt;An Image of Me&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My Family’s Reaction&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; – Every time I visited a friend or relative, they would exclaim, “You have really slimmed down!” Or perhaps, “Girl, you are looking good!” It made me feel proud.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;I Ran a 5K!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; – On Wednesday night at 10:30 pm my cousin asked if I wanted to run in a 5K the next day, which was Thanksgiving morning. He explained that it was an annual 5K – the Turkey Trot. Well, the title was cute, I enjoy donating to charity, and I realized that I needed some exercise. Years ago when I used to run (3-5 miles four days per week), I considered running a 5K or 10K, but never did. I know people that have trained weeks for a 5K. Although I had not run in years (well, short little spurts on the treadmill), I agreed! On Thanksgiving morning I ran a 5K! I ran the entire 5K! I do not know my exact time – but it was around 28 or 29 minutes. I even beat my male cousin! Afterwards I felt strong, fit, and healthy. (And I then allowed myself to indulge in many goodies!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;Physician Appointment&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; – I had a physical in August. Then, I was 161lbs and not in the best health. My physician suggested I lose weight, eat healthier, and exercise. At my appointment Wednesday he was shocked when he entered the examination room. I weighed 146lbs on my physician’s scale, my blood pressure was great, and everything else had improved. My physician said, “You should be proud. Most of my patients do not follow my instructions. It is all about dedication and determination – something most people do not have. I really hope you keep it up.” I told him that I planned to continue on my quest for health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;Shopping&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; – I went shopping! The last time my family saw me was in August and I was around &lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;165 lbs&lt;/span&gt;. My goal is to be &lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;144 lbs&lt;/span&gt; by the time I leave. So what does that mean? That means that I have to stop stuffing my face, and get with the program! I have nine days to get my act together. Most of this is going to have to rely on diet rather than exercise because I have a lot of work to do for school between now and then, and thus, will not have much time to walk 50 million miles on the treadmill. In the beginning, I enjoyed viewing before and after photos and reading weight loss tips. But over time, I have noticed that many of the members weigh &lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;200, 250, or even 300+ pounds&lt;/span&gt;. Furthermore, many of them have been members for two, three, or four years and have lost and gained the same 50 pounds numerous times. This scares me. It almost seems as though the women find comfort in sharing stories about binging on boxes of cookies, rather than sharing successful weight loss stories.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the past week I have visited&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; 3FatChicks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; less often, and have considered deleting my account entirely. Sometimes I wake up at 7 am, sometimes as late as noon. I’&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)"&gt;m &lt;/span&gt;sure some of you think, “She eats breakfast late,” or “She eats at weird times.” Well, I’m not goin&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)"&gt;g &lt;/span&gt;to wake up just to eat. And I’m not really&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)"&gt; o&lt;/span&gt;n a schedule.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;Rudeness&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; – I noticed that I have had over 100 visits and no comments or anything. Well, I think it is pretty rude for people to repeatedly view my page and not say a word to me! It is akin to you coming into my house unannounced, looking in my medicine cabinet, and leaving without saying a word. I decided to get the &lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;Paneer Aloo Chili Masala&lt;/span&gt;. The menu described it as &lt;em&gt;“Fresh homemade cheese and potatoes sautéed with onions, green chili pepper cooked in a curry sauce (hot).”&lt;/em&gt; All entrees are served with Basmati Rice. Although the dish was spicy, it was pretty good and tasty. I measured out 1c of the rice, and 1c of the entrée. Check the post from last Sunday, I knew the scale was playing tricks on me! Hopefully none of you out there are laughing at me and calling me a fat pig that would not be able to keep the weight off.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maybe it was the tuna noodle casserole from earlier this week… Perhaps it was the vodka... Or was it the tootsie rolls? Well, I walked 5 miles a couple of times and honestly, I find that I dislike walking that much and it also hurts my big toe! I figure that if I do not want to get fat again, I had better do stuff that I can stick to long term. I must admit, the dish was quite tasty! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;D&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Just so you know, it was a &lt;u&gt;homemade&lt;/u&gt; casserole. None of that "Tuna Helper" crap which is marketed to lazy people. I swear, that stuff will kill you! Furthermore, pretty much everything I consume is prepared by me. While I was there, I decided to go into Ann Taylor LOFT because they were having a sale. I bought two pairs of dress pants – &lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;size 6&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;. They were somewhat of a wide leg fit, but nonetheless, they were a size 6. (I also bought two sweater dresses in a size medium, but on second thought, I think I will return them.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Additionally, I took pictures and emailed them to my mother and she said that my weight loss is noticeable. I had a great time with my friends and it was nice to get out of this boring town. We went to a play at a great theatre, enjoyed a poker game, and of course, lots of SHOPPING! I purchased 3 dresses, a skirt, and makeup. It almost makes me think that once a person reaches a certain weight, no matter what, they will always be somewhat unattractive. Although they weigh less, their body just does not look right. And their face looks somewhat worn, and the skin does not appear smooth. It just seems like a fat person in a smaller package. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;D&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;I am convinced that once a person is obese or severely overweight, their body will fight to get back to that weight. That is why overweight individuals have such a hard time keeping off the weight – their fat cells constantly battle to be restored. Their fat cells remember being fat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I read that when you lose weight, you lose muscle and fat. So if you lose 20 pounds, let’s just say that 10 is fat, and 10 is muscle. If the 20 pounds is regained, more than likely 18 is fat and 2 is muscle. Thus, the person appears to be &lt;em&gt;fatter&lt;/em&gt; than before they lost the weight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;I am deathly afraid of getting fat.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; Instead of implementing some insane diet and exercise plan, I have been doing things that I can do for a lifetime. For starters, I am eating healthy food and portions. And I am also walking – the most simple form of exercise. Last, I do arm exercises with hand weights, squats, and walk on the treadmill at an incline in order to maintain and develop lean muscle. I have so many beautiful, fashionable (and not to mention expensive!) clothes.  But my fat ass cannot wear the majority of my clothes.  Every morning I am forced to try on different outfits to determine how they will “wear” throughout the day.  Will I look bad sitting down?  How will I look walking?  Will my stomach look bad if I drink something?  This is ridiculous!  Soon I will be able to wake up and grab something from my closet with ease. At least I’m under 160.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My goal is to eat to live. Also, I am going to stop eating multiple times a day. I believe that people kill themselves and their digestive system by eating throughout the day. How many times has someone asked you to eat and you say, “I am not hungry.” They then reply, “Eat before you get hungry.” This is most unwise and dangerous! It is no wonder that so much of America is overweight and fat. Why are people surprised that overindulging in sweets and fried foods will do nothing but make them fat and unhealthy?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My goal is to eat when I am hungry. My size 8 clothing began to fit snug and I noticed that I was sucking in my stomach more often.
